You will serve as a FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR for the NAS PENSACOLA. You will prepare policy guidance in response to firefighter program related executive orders, public law, regulations, and agency requirements. You will determine measures to reduce or eliminate the potential for fire or explosion. You will verify personnel use the correct personal protection equipment during firefighting incidents to ensure safety. You will identify defects of fire protection systems (e.g., equipment, clothing) to maintain operational efficiency. You will establish on-scene control procedures (e.g., zone control, decontamination) in a hazardous material incident. You will explain work requirements to fire inspectors and other employees related to new or changed procedures.
