About the Position: Serves as a Transportation Specialist in the Puerto Rico Detachment to plan, coordinate, direct, control, and expedite the movement of cargo through terminals within the area of responsibility (AOR). Provides customer service to commercial and military shippers on technical transportation requirements, booking processes, and Integrated Book System (IBS) requirements. Answers telephone and message queries relating to the movement of DOD cargo transiting the Area of Responsibility (AOR) and responds to all inquiries on cargo status. Monitors and reports on import/export cargo time in terminal and identifies problems associated with aged cargo and implements corrective actions.
