You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Operations Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. You will develop project work packaging strategies for execution of work on complex overhauls. You will reviews lessons learned from precedent projects to incorporate productivity and work packaging improvements. You will manage the work packaging function, ensuring problems are resolved and delays are overcome for all aspects of work packaging and job preparation. You will review material request forms as necessary, verifies status including delivery dates and location of material, occasionally contacts ·suppliers to locate needed material and secure prices.
