The primary purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, overhaul, repair, modify, and maintain a variety and types of heavy mobile and automotive equipment some of which are very complex and are comprised of interrelated systems. Work assignments can present unusually difficult problems. - Performs heavy mobile equipment mechanic work including troubleshooting malfunctions, determining the type and extent of repair required, repairing, and maintaining equipment such as, fire-crash trucks, 50,000 (50K) pound capacity container handlers, bulldozers, power shovels, road graders, mobile cranes, and special purpose equipment. - Performs automotive mechanic work...
