You will serve as a Composite/Plastic Fabricator in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF. You will remove and cover tanks, refrigeration units and other structural objects with insulating materials to reduce heat loss or absorption, to prevent moisture condensation or to deaden sound. You will measure and calculate percentages and volumes for catalyst/resin mixtures, formulas for epoxy resins and formulate resin promoter requirements. You will manufacture jigs, templates, patterns, and molds to fabricate one-of-a-kind, unique, and/or interlocking items. You will fabricate handrails and ladders from fiberglass tubing and rod stock to meet blueprint and design specifications.
