You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC in the MACHINERY RESEARCH AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT 70 at the NSWC PHILA DIV. You will install, align, and operate complex research, prototype, and commercial mechanical systems and equipment. You will fabricate component fixtures, tools, and support fixtures required to support test equipment and models. You will operate, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures in equipment and systems undergoing testing, making repairs as needed. You will serve as the lead mechanic directing other tradesmen in the overhaul and alteration of shipboard machinery systems.
