The Division assesses consumer products for compliance with mandatory safety standards and takes enforcement action to prevent noncompliant products from entering or remaining in U.S. commerce. It collaborates with manufacturers, importers, consumer advocates, and government agencies and provides guidance on federal product safety requirements.
