About the Position: Plans, develops, and administers an assigned portion of the District's Inspection and Evaluation Program to insure the safety and operational adequacy of assigned structures in the Vicksburg District to include levees, pumping stations, flood control dams, navigation locks and dams, drainage control structures, bridges etc. covered by the MVK Periodic Inspection and Continuing Evaluation of completed civil works structures. Serves as chairman of pre and post-inspection conferences. Designs or reviews designs for rehabilitation of instrumentation at existing structures involving essentially the same processes mentioned above. Makes reconnaissance visits during varying stages of design and on-site inspections during construction to insure installation of instruments...
