About the Position: Serves as a Transportation Specialist in Traffic/Cargo Management Division to plan, coordinate, direct, control, and expedite the movement of cargo through terminals within the area of responsibility (AOR). Provides customer service to commercial and military shippers on technical transportation requirements, booking processes, and Integrated Book System (IBS) requirements. Answers telephone and message queries relating to the movement of DOD cargo transiting the AOR (Area of Responsibility) and responds to all inquiries on cargo status. Processes all required cargo documents such as manifests, cargo traffic messages, cargo outturn messages, receipt documents, and cargo outturn and shipment discrepancy reports, and maintains related records and files.
