You will serve as a CRANE OPERATOR in the Rigging and Equipment Operations Division of PSNS and IMF. You will operate cranes at all boom lengths, angles and positions during continual location changes. You will work with various types and sizes of diesel engines, electric and hydraulic controls. You will be responsible at all times to consider the safest movement of the load, clearances along the route, position changes needed to complete the move and the effects of these changes on the cranes lifting capacities. You will ensure safety of the crane, the load, and personnel must be maintained at all times. You will understand the principles of cable drums and brake systems, function of outriggers on mobile cranes, and proper mooring and anchoring for floating cranes.
