You will serve as a WELDER in the STRUCTURAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. You will inspect work to incur conformance to nuclear reactor plant specification prior to submitting that work for formal inspection. You will produce a very high quality weld on a continuing basis which must pass very high x-ray standards and specifications. You will direct helpers, apprentices, and fire watchers. You will observe safety rules and regulations of the activity. You will perform welding operations primarily on nuclear and non-nuclear piping and pressure vessels.
