You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the NUCLEAR ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. You will plan/develop Job Summaries for design installation, test and performance of work on submarine systems and equipment involved during an availability. You will scope and estimate direct labor and material costs, monitoring allotted funding to ensure over expenditures are minimized. You will obtain engineering resolution to effect timely, technical cost effective solutions of problems. You will assist the Nuclear Project Engineer and assure the integration of cost improvement and productivity measurements into the many different phases of planning, scheduling, directing, execution and documentation of work assigned.
